Come visit us for Sunday School at 9:00 am each Sunday - classes for every age.
Adult Sunday School classes feature both topical and book studies in depth, but just as importantly provide a framework for ministry. How the church accomplishes its role and purpose in the community through these networks that meet ministry needs for each age group, including single adults, parents with children, “empty nesters,” and senior adults. Members find encouragement and edification that apply to the challenges of each stage of life. The adult Sunday School classes are named “Bible study fellowships” because they are constantly “reaching, teaching, and ministering.” There are fifteen “one another” commands in scripture, in which we are commanded to “love one another,” etc. Through the Sunday school classes and Adult Bible Study Fellowships of Faith Baptist Church, we minister to “one another.”
Adult Bible Study Fellowship Hall Class: Taught by Bro. Rich Daniels. Brother Rich is a great illustrator of Biblical truths, teaching through meaningful and familiar object lessons. Class members see and understand the application of scripture to daily life.
Adult Bible Study Auditorium Class: Taught by Dr. Emmett Manley. The class has a broad appeal for all, establishing the foundation of the Word of God, and encourages folks to think biblically. Dr. Manley is an excellent communicator, and lessons are always interesting and humorous. The class features expository teaching with topical application.
Senior Ladies Bible Study Fellowship: Taught by Mrs. Pauline Blackstone. This class provides ministry thru the teaching of the Word of God and ministry through fellowship to senior ladies. The class is a tight-knit group that also ministers outside of class time through frequent outings and get-togethers.
Single Ladies Bible Study Fellowship: Taught by Mrs. Kelly Hammer. The class ministers to the needs of single adult ladies through the study of the Word of God and prayer. Special attention is paid to ministering to the needs of and fellowship with those with busy schedules.
College Bible Study Fellowship: Taught by Pastor Mark Campbell. College can be a time of great challenge to one’s faith. The class provides scriptural support for the defense of the faith. And, the fellowship provided through he class is vital in support of those Christians who stand for their faith in daily life, strengthening students who are battered by the world. The College Class follows the adult curriculum.
Children’s Sunday School classes are graded together, and taught on a level so that small children may understand. Teachers apply the scriptures to the everyday life of a child. Lessons are taught so that children get the whole counsel of God, and the curriculum is coordinated so that the entire Bible is covered. Younger children are taught in shorter lessons of 15 minutes or less, accompanied by plenty of hands-on activities. Older children cover the great stories of the Bible, even acting out the stories and learning through other experiences. As the children approach middle school age, teachers focus on the heart application of these truths. Middle School aged students begin a systematic study of theology, with the synthesis of their faith as the goal. High School students learn the importance of showing their faith, apologetics, the importance of Bible authority in their life, and the importance of a Biblical world-view.
