Perhaps at no other time in history has it been so important for Christian students to stand for the truth of God’s Word. From the nervous excitement of one just entering middle school to the anticipation of the soon-to-be college grad, every Christian student has a great opportunity to stand for Christ and to build their lives on biblical truth. Contrary to the “gray” philosophy of post-modernism stands the words of Jesus Christ: “I am THE way, THE truth and THE life; no man cometh to the Father, but by me.”
The Student Ministry at Faith Baptist Church desires to partner with parents to communicate that idea. Through Sunday and Wednesday night Bible studies, camps, activities and service opportunities, students are encouraged not only to learn the truths of the Bible, but to be “doers of the Word.” At this age level, the foundation of Bible stories taught in the younger classes is built upon by adding Biblical principles that help to form the choices students face everyday: friends – priorities – job opportunities – which college to attend and what to study.
Three classes are in FBC’s Student Ministry: Under Construction, the middle school class for those in the sixth through eighth grades; Refuge, the class for high school students, and the College Class, for young adults who are in college or of college age. All three classes meet on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour, and Under Construction and Refuge meet again during the Wednesday evening service.
