Dear Pastors and Praying
Friends,
We are thrilled with what God has done with us and
through us last year. We saw people getting saved, baptized, growing in their
faith. We passed thousands of tracts in our community, held our first wedding,
and took on another missionary work to support. We are really amazed with all
God has done with us! Praise the Lord!!!
In November, we held
our
4th missions conference. Our guest speaker was our mission’s board
Mission Director, Dr. Garvin Dykes. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with
him and his wife Faye. During our mission’s conference the church increased
their faith promise and was able to take on for support another missionary work!
Praise the Lord!!!
In December, we held an ice cream festival
during our teen night. Many first time visitors came, and we praise the Lord for
the salvation of Jacira! The children of the church performed a Christmas
cantata called “Um Rei Diferente” or “A Different King”. They did a marvelous
job! We had many visitors that came and had the opportunity to hear the gospel.
January has come and gone by so fast and
what we expect for this year is much more of God’s blessings in our lives and in
the lives of the church here in Brazil!! We want to thank our God for your
faithfulness and your partnership, for without you this could not have been
accomplished!
Through all God’s blessings, we have faced
as well some difficulties. Our support has decreased by about 50%, because of
the exchange rate. Some churches
dropped our support and our car has given us some unexpected problems. In all,
God has provided!! I thank you for sending us love gifts to help pay for our car
repair.
As you all know, I will be going back to the
U.S on March 6th for our first furlough. We had planned to go
together as a family, but this will not be possible. The result of the
university admissions exam came out and Tiffany passed for the glory of God!! We
thank you for your prayers about this matter. For this reason, I will be going
now in March and Marilza, Kayla, and Tiffany will be coming to the U.S. in July,
after Tiffany’s 1st semester is over. If you would like to have us at
your church for a meeting or mission’s conference, please let us know as soon as
